Privacy Policy

Salt Lake Kitchen Remodel ("we", "us") runs saltlakekitchenremodel.com, an advertising and referral service that connects homeowners in the Salt Lake area with licensed kitchen and bathroom remodelers. We're not a contractor, and we don't design, build or remodel anything. This policy explains what we collect when you visit the site, call us, or send an estimate request, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Notice: when you send an estimate request or call, we share your contact details and project information with one independent remodeler who serves your area, so they can contact you about your project. Remodelers are third parties that may pay us for the requests we pass them.

The short version

• Your request goes to one independent remodeler who serves your area. Not to a list, and not to several companies.
• Apart from that one remodeler, who may pay us for your request, and the service providers listed below, we don't sell or share your estimate request: no data brokers, no lists, no other businesses' marketing.
• We never sell, rent or share your text message (SMS) consent or opt in data with anyone. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. The remodeler gets your phone number only to contact you about the project you asked about.
• Texts only go to people who checked the optional text box. Reply STOP to any text to stop them.

What we collect

What you give us. When you fill out an estimate form: your name, phone number, email, zip code, what you're remodeling, when you'd like to start, the total investment range you picked, and whether you checked the box to get texts. If you used the cost estimator first, the range it showed you goes with your request. When you call or email us: what you tell us about your project.

Calls. Our phone provider logs the number you call from and the time and length of the call. If a call is recorded, you'll hear a notice at the start of the call.

What's collected automatically. Like most websites, ours logs technical data such as your IP address, browser, device, the pages you view and the site that sent you. If you arrive from an ad, we keep the ad's click ID and campaign tags (for example gclid or utm_source) with your estimate request so we know which ads work.

How we use it

• To pass your request to one independent remodeler who serves your area, so they can call you, set up a free consultation and give you a written estimate.
• To call, text (only if you opted in) or email you about your request, for example to confirm details.
• To keep records of which requests we passed on, and to settle billing with remodelers.
• To see which pages and ads bring in requests, and to improve the site.
• To stop spam and fraud, and to follow the law.

Text messages (SMS)

Every form on this site has a separate checkbox for texts. It's never checked for you, and you don't have to check it to send a request or buy anything. If you check it, you agree to get text messages from Salt Lake Kitchen Remodel about your estimate request, such as confirming details and follow ups.

• Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP to any text to opt out. We'll send one message to confirm, then stop. Reply HELP for help, or call (385) 450-4329.
• Carriers aren't responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt in data and consent are excluded from all of the sharing described below; that information isn't shared with any third party, including the remodeler. Our texting provider and the phone carriers handle numbers only to deliver the messages you asked for.

The full SMS terms are in our Terms of Use.

Who we share it with

The remodeler. We send your request to one independent remodeler who serves your area. The remodeler is an independent business, not part of Salt Lake Kitchen Remodel. It may use your details only to contact you about your request and, if you hire it, to do the work. After that, its own privacy practices apply to the information it holds. Ask us any time which remodeler got your request.

Companies that help us run the site. They handle personal information only to do work for us:

• Netlify hosts this website and logs basic technical data (like IP address and browser) to run and protect it.
• Web3Forms receives what you type into our estimate forms and delivers it to our inbox by email.
• Google provides our email, where estimate requests arrive and are stored.
• Our phone service provider connects calls to our number and logs the calling number, time and length.
• Audience Lab, a marketing data partner, runs a script on this site. It records the pages you visit, clicks, and the fact that a form was sent (not what you typed in it), with your IP address and device details, and it may match your visit to information it already holds. We use that to understand our visitors and for ads, mail and email. We never call or text anyone because of it, and we never pass it to remodelers as an estimate request.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect people or property, or as part of selling or merging the business (the buyer would have to follow this policy).

Cookies and your choices

• Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them.
• Opt out of interest based ads from many companies at optout.aboutads.info.

We don't currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.

How long we keep it

We keep estimate requests as long as we need them to pass them on, keep records of what we sent to whom, settle billing, and meet tax and legal duties. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below), unless the law requires us to keep it.

Security

The site runs only over HTTPS with strict security headers, our forms filter out spam bots, and our accounts are protected with access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send payment card numbers or passwords through our forms.

Your rights

You can ask us what we have about you, fix it, or delete it, and we'll tell you which remodeler got your request so you can ask them too. Contact us using the details below and we'll respond within a reasonable time. To stop texts, reply STOP. To stop emails, tell us.

Children

This site is for adults planning home projects. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new date at the top.
